Obesity and blindness linked?

I know that people with untreated high blood pressure can have resulting vision problems. HBP can cause damage to multiple organs including the eye. Now obesity can give high blood pressure. Anyone know if there's a connection in dogs? I babysat an obese dachshund. She's about 7 and losing her vision. I began to wonder if the 2 were linked.

Not heard of any connection. She may have one of the later onset PRA's or any number of other eye problem.
