Canadian winter: walk in the park
It was a nice enough day -14C/6F. Come in the park for a walk with us!
Hubby on the trail
One spot we had about 10 chickadees waiting for a handout. Saw a few nuthatches, one woodpecker, and plenty of red squirrels
My favorite photo
The duck pond had plenty of folks out
The 'striped trees'...
Not much snow yet this winter. I've been trying to talk hubby into having a bonfire and roasting some sausage. Maybe a thermos of hot chocolate??
Thanks for coming along!

That's fantastic, Penny, but where were the dogs and the orange ball?
You always have such great pictures. What type of tree are those
with the stripes? Look almost like aspen but I haven't seen any striped before.
Thanks for the walk through the snow without having to get cold!

I'm giving everyone a break from orange ball. lol
I believe the striped trees are birch (papery exterior) and I think the white trees in the first photo are poplar.

Very pretty! I can't believe the bird actually sat on your husband's hand!
Re: Canadian winter: walk in the park
I got some wonderful portraits of hubby with the birds sitting on his glove, which I sent to his sisters. Love it, but he didn't want his pic on the internet. shucks.
If you have bird feeders out at your home, you can set up something like this, that will train the birds to sit on your hand to feed. Even hummingbirds.. check out the photos..

We didn't do that but I know some folks would enjoy it. Maybe mom or dad, or grandpa would love that, or that neighbor who brings cookies over.
