My great idea! lol
Since the chickadees are so friendly at the park...
I got this great idea. Take Engli, in a bag so she's warm, hold her, and have the chickadees land one foot from her face.
Video what happens. lol
Sunday was a nice day, warmed up to 0C/32F. Perfect. Went to the park...
Here we are on the trail...
Cute little face..
Look how close they would have been landing! We're all set!
As it turned out, there were plenty of people out walking the trails and folks brought seed and dumped handfuls along the way. We saw a lady ahead of us doing that very thing.
They wouldn't come on our hands today. Shucks.
Try another day.
She's been so good before at our suction cup birdfeeder. I wonder if she would hold so still without the glass there?
Stay tuned!

BURRRRR it's cold up there.
I now see why the dogs didn't go out with you
We have been having beautiful weather in the mid 40's,
very unusual for January. The weather man assured us
that Feb and March will be more seasonable (cold).
Not looking forward to the cold but the snow will be
pretty and it's good for the wheat.

No, not cold! We've been enjoying record breaking warm, for January!
You wouldn't believe how many people are out on the trails, toboggan runs, skating the duck pond, skiing. The snow mobilers and ice fishers are crying, it's too warm for them. There is still open water on the river. It's shocking for January. No complaints from me. Who needs long johns! lol
Anyone know what long johns are??? Lucky you if you don't. lol

I used to wear long johns when we lived on the farm.
Now a days most go for the insulated coveralls.
I don't like the cold.

So cute!
I know EXACTLY what mine would do if they were that close to those little birdies ... they'd have a lil' snack..

Great pics of the local wildlife.
I hate the cold, I was miserable last winter with all that snow that stayed around for weeks. I suppose it depends what you are used to.
