Meet our newest Irish Wolfhound puppy Dahmak's Pheolan which in Gaelic means "Little Wolf". The little guy flew all the way from Germany to be with us and now that he has learned to "bark" in "English" he is a perfect fit for the Croghan Clan. However .... i think a few of the dachsies have learned to be bilingual and "listen" in German selectively when it comes to time to groom and trim nails. When i call them for grooming sessions they seem to be nowhere in sight! LOL! Ruth

Thanks for sharing with us.

I never gave it a thought of the language difference being a problem.

My lot disappear when bath is mentioned.

Thank you! We start showing him in March. The little guy is 6 months old and 104 pounds! And STILL thinks he is a dachshund!

Thanks for the update Ruth.

Does he try and sit on your lap like the dachsies?

Can I ask what weight they are when born? Someone here is advertising wolfhound x collie pups[deliberate mating] and the dam is the collie which made me think she would probably have needed a c/section to deliver them.

Who would deliberately cross a collie with a wolfhound? Just makes me so mad! Wolfhound puppies are born at about one pound each the same as say a german shepherd dog but grow much faster. Yes, Pheolan likes to sit on peoples laps as do all the wolfhounds. I just warn people about it or put them in their kennels when we have guests. They are just part of our family and i love the warmth in the winter! Ruth Smile
