Hello from Ky:)
Hi. First of all, I want to give a HUGE thanks to Kathleen for her total devotion to helping me bring my idea to life with this forum. I would not have been able to do it without her help! She has been vital in the whole process. THANK YOU KATHLEEN!
My name is Jenn, also known as Darling Dollhouse Dachshunds. I have a total of 8 dachshunds..Emmie, Celeste, Libby (now co-owned), Buffy, Misty and Ch Erik & Ch Liam (both co-owned now)..I also have a retired girl Maeve. I have been in dachshunds for about 5 years. The past two years I have been working on producing my own show potential dachshund for the show ring. I rarely have litters, this year I have had three (counting the litter I have now). Most all of my puppies have always went to pet homes, but now I breed for myself in the hopes of producing my own show pup. It has taken me a while to get to where I am, but I believe if you love the breed and desire knowledge, there is hope no matter where you come from or what you have bred for in the past. We all have to start somewhere and I think getting back to the basic's of the true dachshund standard is the best place! I encourage HONEST, TRUTHFUL, HELPFUL posts. I encourage HONEST & TRUTHFUL critiques. If your bashful, sentimental or defensive, then this may not be the place for you. I think being brutally honest is where so many have lacked in this breed. I wish I had caught on sooner and accepted the wonderful opinions and information that was offered to me from various show breeders. As it is, I know now and understand the need for more information and honesty. Better late than never I say!
I am hoping that this can be a good place for people who desire to show and desire more knowledge of the true dachshund standard. I know I have much to learn myself, and am hoping that the senior show breeders that have been in this for years, join and share their knowledge.
I have a litter on the ground now between my Libby & Ch Erik and am hoping that I get my chance to finally step into the ring this year with a puppy from that litter. I wish everyone luck in the ring and hope to see you soon myself! Post away!

Re: Hello from Ky:)
Hey Jenn,
I was so excited when Claire posted the link for this.
I was dreading having to search and find another dachshund forum.
Looking forward to all the info I can learn here and maybe contribute
from my little knowledge that I do have.
So do you have new puppy pictures? LOL

Hello from Ky:)
LOL..no puppy pics yet. It has rained and rained here and I hate taking my pics indoors because of the lighting..May have to get on that this week
Re: Hello from Ky:)
I missed this somehow, lol. I was glad to help-I'm so happy with the idea of getting some genuinely worthwhile feedback and advice with no more of the dreck. I appreciate you coming up with the idea, truly!
Re: Hello from Ky:)
Alright, missy.
It has been over 2 weeks since I have seen any pics of those pups
on the "other" forum or facebook. So the time is now.
I know you don't want to pick a favorite or make any judgements
but throw me a bone here (or puppy pics)
At least take some so we can later see a progression of how they have
matured and developed over the weeks, will be a great learning tool.
Please

Re: Hello from Ky:)
I was glad to get the invite Jenn to join and hope to contribute here as I have tried elsewhere in the past.
I need a puppy pic fix, they grow so fast and you can't get that time back.
