I check in daily and there hasn't been any new activity for ages.

Nothing much doing here, hating the heat, the dogs have dropped their coats again.

My Fentanyl pain patches are not sticking due to me sweating so I am in pain and then withdrawl as they are stronger than morphine, this week abscesses have formed under the patch when it has stuck for longer than 24 hrs[ suppose to last 3 days], I have contacted the firm that makes them and waiting to hear back re change in production or adhesive.

Tia [Lincoln and Lexis's sister] had her second litter of 5 pups earlier in the year, she needed an emergency c/section this time, since Jan 2012 any c/sections are recorded in the quarterly breed supplements as each bitch is only allowed 2 such litters and it indicates whether it was elective or emergency, they are trying to stop it being acceptable in some breeds to have a c/section everytime.

Hope all is well with you all out there.

Yikes, Rhona, so sorry to hear about your pain patches-that sounds awful.

I don't have a whole lot going on, lately. Trixie's entered in her first show tomorrow-very small entry, so kind of a practice show. All the other dogs are just hanging around enjoying summer. I can't remember if I told you, but Kali's finished (one of Millie's pups). My dad is still improving-long road back from a stroke, and it's going to take awhile. Anyway, I'm like you, I check in here often, but there aren't many updates.

Good Luck for the show.

Have you got any new pics or get some taken at the show?

I still check in often but not much going on here.
Had to work all summer and now school has started so it's back to work there.
Sorry your pain is so great, hope they get the patches figured out to help with it.
Did I miss the puppy pictures from your litter? I will have to go look.

It wasn't my litter, Tia went to stay with Lois and Chases breeder, we had a falling out which I have tried ignoring and building bridges but it hasn't worked, final straw was when Lois died suddenly last year and I asked could I have Tia back or one of her future bitch pups I was turned down flat.

I knew nothing about this litter till I got the recent Breed Record Supplement.

My next litter will be the end of this year early next when Maizie has her 3rd season. Have 3 possible studs, Rhuari you all know and this will be a line breed as he is her great uncle on her dams side, Elvis [choc/tan outcross] or Freddie [bl/cream choc carrier also an out cross] ideally go for the out crosses which Rhuari could then be bred to any of those bitches.

Don't have a pic of Freddie.

I'm so sorry to hear you had a falling out with Chase and Lois's breeder. How miserable-and I'm honestly surprised that she wouldn't let you have a bitch puppy back from Tia. Hopefully you'll get some nice puppies out of Maizie-I don't know why, but I'm surprised to see you considering chocolate! Looks like a pretty boy.

Kathleen I have always been interested in chocs provided they had good pigment, as Maizie has a choc/tan sire I decided to look into possibly having some choc pups, both outside studs have either good pigment or are bl/cream carrying choc so don't expect any pigment problems, if Maizie was a cream/red choc carrier then I wouldn't consider trying for choc pups.

I saw Elvis in person back at Crufts 2010, he had good pigment but had some maturing to do, he would have been about 16 months old, he is proven and the pups he has produced have had good pigment from what I have seen and been told. He was supposed to have sired their most recent litter and the mating went ahead as planned but the kennel where some of the dogs had been staying for holiday time failed to tell the owner that the bl/tan dapple female had tied with the choc/tan dapple male[since been rehomed] and only confessed when 3 of the 5 pups arrived as D/Dapple, had they known at the time she could have had the mismate injection instead of the shock of these predominantly white pups that can't be KC registered, none of the litter as without going to the expence of DNA testing the pups you don't know who sired the 2 single dapples, he has put it down to experience and been very open on his web site, needs to be careful with the remaining bl/tan dapple male, can see why those with dapples only have them in the one sex. Last time I checked the bitch with the most white on her head still didn't have a home. Hearing and sight has thus far been normal.

Hope the show goes well today.
