I’m Carol, a retired teacher who has recently become involved in showing a couple of my dachshunds in confirmation events. I currently have 6 dachshunds who keep me about as busy as a classroom full of first graders. For the past three years I have read, studied and enjoyed learning about the breed that I’ve grown to love and appreciate more and more. As an educator I can appreciate the value of learning from colleagues as we discuss, debate and ponder various issues, questions and topics. Thanks to the administrator and others who have helped organize this forum. It takes a tremendous amount of work but will be beneficial.

Welcome, welcome! I hope you don't mind a minor spelling correction. For dogs, it's conFORMation, not conFIRMation. Because we want our dogs to conform to the breed standard. Smile
