Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Rhona, I kind of had a feeling the boys would be pet quality, even this early. I just more focused on the females..Quinn seriously WOULD NOT stack..we tried and tried..all he wanted to do was hump the stackers..literally. The girls did good, it took a while and I didn't get the best rear photo's because they kept sliding off the stackers, but I got good stacked pics of the red girls...Chloe's could have been stretched out a bit further now that I look back. She is quite long and looks a whole lot better in person that her pics. I will see if I can get those rear pics and front angle pics now...the red girls got a bit lazy on us on the rear pics too..Ruth helped take the pics btw
Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Out of all of them I really like Nicole - poor Quinn....Hang in there baby
Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Had so much fun with these "puppers". Being able to watch and do a "hands-on" eval i would have to say both boys are pet quality but really had so much personality and confidence in themselves. Two of the girls are "shoe-in's" for the ring but i am keeping silent until everyone else has given their opinion. Just remember these kids are 7 weeks old and a lot can go on in those 7 days. Just a hint i always look for a "square" balanced pup and then do a "hands-on" starting with dentation and work my way to the rear end. All pups were pleasant and easy to work with except for one of the boys who was demonstrating that he is the "alpha" of the pack. Too bad he didn't have better conformation for that would have worked in his favor in the ring. Ruth

The girls are looking good
I would put #1 as Sammy, #2 Chloe, and #3 Nicole.
I can't wait to see how they develop!

Right now, looking at the profile, I like Sammy best and then Chloe and Nicole.

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
We have decided to wait a few more weeks and take more pics...as of right now Cindy likes Nicole & Chloe best...she thinks Nicole's shoulders are placed better at this stage so far (by pics that it) Nicole has always been my favorite, but I really like Sammy's pics..I guess we shall wait a bit longer and see:) I also need to get better stacked pics in a week or so.

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
LOL..yes I am..actually my old computer went kapoot and I am using a laptop. When I logged into my website, nothing appeared. I had to go into my files in my account and every single item that I have ever uploaded into my website (icons, pics, pedigrees..) has to be individually downloaded one by one...grrrrr...there are about 500 and I am on dial up right now..I decided it was better & quicker to just make my own buttons and graphics, but I still have to go through my pics and download them because I lost all my pictures on my computer!! I am sick about it, but thankfully I have posted a lot on Facebook and in my account through my website host ..probably will be a few more days though:)by Dandy Dachs on Sun 2 Oct 2011 - 21:27

I was wondering if you could maybe get some stacked photos
and point out what or why the 2 were or were not "Chosen"?????

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Quinn is going to be quite the heartbreaker.....handsome fellow!
I can see why him and Chloe are the chosens ones
They all appear to have a slightly high set tail but the other
2 girls are lacking in rear angles (long hock, short stifle?)
hock in slightly and maybe short upper arm?
Will Cindy be evaluating them again at 12 weeks to make the
"final cut"? Ask her to assist with stacks as a learning
tool for your group I will be anxiously awaiting her eval
and you telling us what all is wrong with them and what
their virtues are.
How big are the pups, are you going to get any standards?
I think you were very blessed with this litter (getting
what you asked for) in that the creams are the show prospects
and the reds ended up as the pets. They are creams right?
My luck is usually just the opposite of what I would like....
big ole boys that are nice and itty bitty girls that are lacking,
go figure.
And am I still on that list for a big ole girl show pup, even though
it wasn't Sammy that made the grade? Always gotta be looking
to the future

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
I have to say, I still like Nicole. I do see a little bump in her topline, but she still looks promising to me. I don't remember what you said happened on the eval with her, but hands on and in person, you definitely see things you can't in pictures, so you have to trust what you saw then. But in these photos, she looks not bad.
Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Ok..I will start with Nicole.. She was originally always my favorite. The major problem with Nicole is her length & ribbing. Her ribbing is right in the middle of her back (50/50)..so, it is way too short. Her length is really, really short. She is about half the length of the other littermates. Very short bodied. I am not a fan of her head either..she ended up with a low earset (compliments of her standard heritage I would assume), and also has a bit of a 'domed' head. Her shoulders are a tad forward as well..
Sammy has a few issue's as well..first, her rear. If you look in her first pic stacked, you can see her rear heels touch, as Cindy put it, 'hock in' (they kick together as she moves too)...then look at her second stack pic, when she is leaning over table edge. Notice the rear heels clicking together there as well..Nicole's do it a little too, just not as bad as Sammy's. Sammy's ribbing is ok, but for her long length, it needs to be better..she is quite long and has a slight 'dip' in her back. Shoulders are a little forward..she is nice, but still is pet quality.
Chloe & Quinn are practically built the same. Nice angles, wonderfully nice even toplines, nice rear angles, good neck lengths, ribbing is perfect, heads are amazing..Chloe's ears are a tad long, but still they fit with her head type. They move so well, nice straight toplines as they move, rear feet and legs stay nice and straight. Chests are looking nice for their age, shoulders are set nice and feet are nice and tight. They are very masculine built, nice thick bone, nice thick bodied.. I am very well pleased with these two. They are the picks. Cindy agreed hands down, in fact she spot Chloe earlier on as the potential female in this litter..
Chloe will be going back with Cindy on the 5th and will be staying with her to start showing at 6 months..Quinn will be going to Ohio on the 5th as well, to Cinjay's dachshunds, and he will start showing there. Both of these pups will be co-owned with myself and both Cindy's (Cinjay's is a Cindy too, lol)
Which would have been funny if you had gotten Sammy (Cindy Daniels)..then all three would be co-owned with a Cindy, lol...Anyway, Chloe's registered name will be:
"Darlindachs -N- MC's Show Me Whatcha' Got MLC"
Quinn's registered name will be:
"Darlindachs No Such Thing As a Coincidence at Cinjays MLC"
The red girls have a few other faults, but these are the major ones that were just not acceptable. They still will indeed make very nice quality pets. Both Chloe and Quinn weigh right at about 3.5 lbs at 11 weeks..the weights will be mini, but they will have to be watched because they do have a heavy thick bone to them and could easily top out at 12 lbs each...both Cindy's are well aquainted with watching the weights on their dogs and maintaining the weight while they are in the ring:) I am pleased and hoping they do well in the ring...fingers crossed:)

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Quinn would be my first choice closely followed by Chloe, they both need their chest to develop more and would like to see more coat at this age too.
Look forward to following their show careers.

You are absolutely correct. He is a better choice. Had I not already made arrangements for two new boys coming next month, he would have been kept here along with Chloe..I still will co-own him and retain co-ownership and stud rights...but he is built a little nicer, heavier boned too, and has a better head and earset IMO..Chloe has the better personality as far as outgoing, but Quinn listens better They both will start showing at about 6 months, shortly after the new year. Provided they act like they should and take to the ring, they should do well...both Cindy Ruckman and Cindy Clapper have both finished quite a few champions quickly. I am excited
Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Congrats on the two show hopefuls, Jenn. It will be fun to watch them grow & show

Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
Changed my mind...I am keeping Quinn & Chloe:) My friend that is co-owning Chloe has offered to show them both....she will be added on as co-owner as well, that way they both will be bred by and showed by us, well her, since she is listed as Libby's co-owner too .. This way he gets to come back to me after he has been showed:)

Yep:) I met Cindy at the show in Fort Wayne yesterday. I was totally expecting something different...more laid back then I thought it would be..she said it was a nicer show too ..So, I am not as intimidated as I thought I would be now that I have seen how it all works. This was an all breed show, so we took the kids and they got to see all the different pretty dogs. I thought it would be best if Cindy went ahead and got them both yesterday just in case the weather got bad and we didn't get to meet up by the time the puppies were ready to show. Plus, she gets to train them. I am SOOOOOO excited!! I got two new boys yesterday too I have Cal's pic on my site, I will post Memphis' when I get a chance. This has been a good week:)
OH, and Cindy said I did really good by choosing Quinn & Chloe. She said that their ribbibing, keel, chests, heads, length and angles were really good. All in all, very nice really good pups for show. I am happy.
I had already had Quinn's name as "No Such Thing As a Coincidence" ..so instead of adding the other kennel name on at the end, I just added Cindy's at the beginning. She will be handling and showing them for me, so they will be shown as 'bred by'..here is his new name:
Darlindachs -N- MC's No Such Thing As a Coincidence MLC
Re: Libby & Ch Erik puppies...
